Brilliant Bites: Kids Nutrition Program
Nutrition is so confusing now a days and when you hear some of the statistics it can seem like a bleak future. Advertising of unhealthy choices bombards our kids everyday. It makes life difficult as a parent to enforce healthy eating habits at home when our kids do not understand or agree with our choices.
It doesn't have to be that way and we hope to bring a positive and up beat look at healthy foods and healthy bodies to kids ranging from grades 1st. - 5th . The games and stories, activities and take home work sheets will bring a memorable experience with learning that can change the shape of the food choices our kids are making and literally change the shape of their future.
This 6 week course is stripped of all of the controversy and teaches simple basic nutrition in an exciting and fun way that will leave a lasting impression on your child. We focus on the positive and encourage activity and healthy choices with an understanding of why our bodies would need these substances. There are many hands on games and fun things like races between the teams of "simple carbs "and "complex carbs." The super hero of breakfast and the villain of inactivity.
